Administrative Update

I have not been posting since last week as I just started my new job Friday with Manhattan Associates. My plan is to get in the flow of the position and then gradually pick up blogging again--this will probably happen over the next few days, with more posting towards the weekends.

However, with the holidays reaching full force the end of this month, I can't guarantee too much posting until the start of 2007.

As for travel, I will be back in the US for business and vacation from 12/10 to 01/03 in 2007. In the meantime, I hope everyone has a great holiday season!

Link Round-up

I have been back to Tokyo since Tuesday evening but have been quite busy. This weekend I plan to catch up on some items in the Japanese logistics press, but for now, below are a couple links to blogs with some recent and interesting content:

On Vacation

I will be on vacation until the evening of November 7. I probably won't be posting again until that time. In the meantime, please enjoy many of my previous posts.

Welcome to Asia Logistics Wrap

In order to improve one-stop access to information on global supply chain management, with a special focus on Asia, I have created the following customized Google search engines for your convenience:

Blogs on SCM in Asia

News on SCM in Asia

Research on SCM in Asia

This will remain at the top of the page for easy access into the future. Enjoy the new function!

Settling in after Seoul

I have been quite busy since my trip to Seoul, so I am just getting settled in now. As for announcements, 3PLWire is back up and running full steam at their primary location. Please go visit for a variety of logistics commentary on the news of the day.

Off to Korea

I am headed to Seoul today for a weekend getaway in the Land of Morning Calm. I am busy today before heading out and so won't be posting until after I get back. I am already backlogged with topics I wanted to touch on, but it will have to wait until I get back.

Have a great weekend!

Quick Notes

My laptop has been out of commission since the end of the week before last, but will be back tomorrow. As a result, blogging has been light. However, I will be back in full force tomorrow until the weekend when I am off to South Korea for a couple days and then back Monday the 18th.

In the meantime, I received an email from 3PL Wire that their site has been taken down suddenly without their knowledge and they are trying to recover it. Until then, they are operating at a back-up site. Hopefully they are back up and running soon...

Administrative Notes

As recent visitors may have noticed, there is a new addition to the blog: the Google search function. Since there are almost 120 posts now at this site, it was getting difficult to find old posts for referencing in new posts. With the Google search function now in place, you can now find posts via key words quite easily. New visitors are encouraged to use this function if you are looking for a very specific subject.

Also, I have rearranged the order of links and categories in the column to the right, in case you didn't notice. I have much to post on this weekend, and look forward to any comments in the process.

Have a great weekend!

Positive Commentary on Asia Logistics Wrap

Having been an attention-seeking artist in the past, I will be honest in saying that I always enjoy any positive attention this site receives across the web. When reflecting on what to write, I always believe that the quality of a particular post will help it either "thrive" or "dive." Recently, I have had some very positive feedback and responses at two blogs--one I am becoming pretty familiar with and another I just discovered.

The first, China Law Blog, presents a flattering summary of this site's content and flavor. I can't say enough about China Law Blog and its post production and quality!

The second, How the World Works, has just been brought to my attention via Dan Harris at China Law Blog. I had seen some referrals coming in from Salon, but had no idea why until Dan's post caught my attention. I have added "How" to the blog roll, so please visit despite the advertisement along the way, especially the post referring to this blog titled "Shrinking the neo-orientalist Gap." I look forward to reading more into the future.

I will be putting up some new posts, in addition to the continuation of my Kaesong series--which I have neglected from finishing due to my busy May and an equally hectic June.

Thanks to all those visiting and I look forward to any feedback!

Upcoming Absence

I will be off to the US for this weekend and early next week, and I don't plan to post anything new until I return. In the meantime, have a great weekend!!!
